Baptism and Holy Matrimony

Baptism:

In the Episcopal Church Holy Baptism is full initiation by water and the Holy Spirit into Christ's Body the Church. It is administered during one of the principal Eucharists on a Sunday or other feast. It is normally scheduled at the Easter Vigil, the Day of Pentecost, All Saint's Sunday or the Sunday after, and on the first Sunday after the Feast of the Epiphany. If you are interested in Baptism for yourself or for your child, please contact the rector at the Church Office to arrange a time for discussion. Adult and youth candidates will have a period of preparation. Sponsors of young children will be given an orientation to the role they will have in a child's spiritual life. If you are not currently a member of Trinity Church, a good place to begin your discernment process is to attend worship services regularly and let the clergy know of your interest in baptism.

Holy Matrimony:

Christian marriage is a solemn and public covenant between a man and a woman in the presence of God. It is a life's vocation that presents an opportunity with your spouse to develop one's character as a maker of Christian community. It is required that at least one of the parties be a baptized Christian. The clergy at Trinity perform wedding ceremonies for members, including those who have been previously married. In all cases, a series of pre-marital discussions precedes the ceremony. Call the church office for further details and to contact one of the clergy for an initial discussion.
